Xenocs participates in Mobility Challenge for cleaner commuting

By September 15th, 2020No Comments

Xenocs will participate this year in the Mobility Challenge Day organized by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, France, to promote ‘clean’ transport modes.

The challenge will take place on Tuesday 22 September 2020 in the 12 departments of the region. For its 10th edition, it is the opportunity for companies & organizations in the region to organize, internally and for one day, a collective challenge on the theme of mobility.

On D-Day, everybody is invited to leave their individual car in the garage and to get to work walking, cycling, using public transport or carsharing. Teleworking is also valorized as an alternative mode of transport.

At Xenocs, we care about the environment & social impact of our business. This challenge is very much in line with the values we promote at Xenocs of responsibility and sustainability of our business”, Xenocs CEO Peter Høghøj says.

The company is working on impact indicators with the aim of monitoring and improving its impact factor. The process started last year with the set-up of carbon footprint indicators for some of its activities. Among them, the transport of goods, business trips, the electricity consumption of Xenocs facilities, and Xenocs employees’ commuting.

The Mobility Challenge Day complies with our objective of reducing Xenocs carbon footprint on employees’ commuting. It is a good and fun way to raise awareness of alternative modes of transport to individual cars, says Virginie Chiarlone from Xenocs Quality Department who registered Xenocs to the event.

Let’s see how Xenocs will perform on September 22th!
