Sassenage, France – January 4, 2017 – Xenocs SAS and SAXSLAB Aps announce that Xenocs has acquired 100% of SAXSLAB shares in an all cash transaction.
“We are very excited about this acquisition, as it will strengthen our ability to provide innovative solutions for characterisation at the nano-scale; ultimately allowing our customers to conduct better research and develop new and better materials”, Peter Høghøj, CEO of Xenocs, states.
SAXSLAB is a recognized leader in high end Small Angle X-ray Scattering laboratory equipment. Since its foundation in 2004, the company has provided an innovative product portfolio. Originally based in Denmark, SAXSLAB now also conducts research and production in the United States of America through its US subsidiary under the management of SAXSLAB founder, Karsten Joensen.
The acquisition will contribute to the development of Xenocs global presence. Over the years, Xenocs has gained a leading position in many countries worldwide, especially in Europe and Asia. “SAXSLAB’s solid presence in the North American Market will allow us to strongly support the entire product portfolio in this very important market, allowing us to provide our truly unique products and services worldwide”, Frederic Bossan, Managing Director of Xenocs, says.

“We are very pleased to join Xenocs. Both organizations are known for their innovation and customer focus, with very complementary products and geographical reach. We look forward to creating a true leader in the market for Small Angle X-Ray Scattering instrumentation and strongly support Xenocs’ vision of extending the role of SAXS in nano-scale characterization”, Karsten Joensen says.
